Sources, and how to check anything here
Every figure on this site can be traced. The tariff, the opening hours and the closures come from the Bavarian Palace Administration’s own pages; prices, ratings and what a tour includes come from each listing’s own page on the booking platform; anything a visitor said is quoted and attributed to the person who wrote it. Where those three disagree, the administration wins.
What comes from the palace
The admission prices, the length and language of the guided tour, the size of a tour group, the summer and winter opening hours, the days the palace is shut and the state of the park buildings all come from the administration that runs Linderhof. Where it hedges, this site hedges with it: it hopes to reopen the Moorish Kiosk for the 2028 season, and that is how it appears here. The fountains are published as playing every half hour from April to October, with a caveat about water supply, and that caveat is carried too.
What comes from the listings
Prices, ratings, rating counts and the two lists every listing publishes — what is included and what is not — are reproduced from the listing’s own page, in its own words. The two lists matter more than anything else on a booking page and they are read separately, because flattened into a paragraph an exclusion starts to read like a promise. One listing on this site says, under what it does not include, that the Linderhof stop is usually an exterior visit. That is why it is the cheapest, and it is printed where you will see it.
Prices in prose are approximations, deliberately
Platform prices move. A figure typed into a paragraph is right on the day it is written and quietly wrong afterwards, with nothing on the page to warn you. So in the body copy here every amount is approximate — “about eleven euros” — and exact figures appear only in a table, where they are dated, and in the booking widgets, which price themselves live at the moment you look. The palace’s own tariff is on tickets with the administration named as its source, with a note to check at the window.
Ratings always carry their base
A 5.0 from one rating and a 4.6 from sixteen thousand are not the same claim, so no average is printed anywhere on this site without the number of ratings beside it. Several listings here carry very few ratings, and a few carry none at all; each page says so.
How content is handled
Room descriptions follow what the administration publishes. Disputed history is presented as disputed. Opinions — that the palace is smaller than people expect, that the park is half the reason to come — are marked as opinions and kept off the pages where a fact is what you need.
When something here is wrong
Tariffs change, opening hours change, and a listing can be edited between one week and the next. This site is only as current as its last check, which was made in August 2026. If you have been and found something different, that is the most useful email we can get: contact. Corrections get made rather than argued with, and where the palace administration disagrees with anything written here, it wins.
