Start at the right-hand end and work left. The two that say you do not go in, and why only one of them is one of the eighteen
If you read one paragraph on this page, read this one. t1101124 and t1089099 both carry the same line in their exclusions: “Admission to Linderhof Palace *usually only an exterior visit”. Eight words, identical on both, filed under what is not included.
Only one of the two is one of the eighteen. t1101124 is the one with Linderhof in its title, listed at about seventy euros and carrying 3.8 from 72 ratings. It is the cheapest listing in this catalogue that names Linderhof, and it is cheap partly because of that line. Its own reviewers noticed: one wrote “We didn’t even go inside, and it wasn’t worth spending anytime there” while giving the day four stars, and another simply “I would like to visit the interior of Linderhof.” The listing told them in advance, in the place people skip.
t1089099 is stranger, and it is the reason this page does not say “two of the eighteen”. Its title is about Neuschwanstein and the Königssee, its itinerary never comes to this valley, and Linderhof appears in it exactly once, in that exclusion. It was read off Linderhof’s own page on the platform, which is why it is in the catalogue at all. It has no rating and no written review.
The word to look for is usually, and this site does not upgrade it to always. What the listing promises is that the admission is not in the price. Whether the coach stops long enough for you to buy one at the window is a question for the operator before you pay, not after.
What each listing does about getting you inside
Take the 18 that name Linderhof and split them by what their own pages say. 2 state palace admission flat. 2 attach a condition to it. 1 says you stay outside. 1 names tickets without naming a building. And 12 exclude admission outright, which is two-thirds of them and the plainest single fact on this page.
Two state Linderhof admission flat, with nothing attached: t211524 — a private day from Füssen whose inclusions run to a line reading “Entry/admission - Linderhof Palace” as well as a broader two-castle ticket line — and t1213649, whose inclusions describe the visit rather than gesture at it, with transport to Linderhof, a guided palace visit and free time in the gardens. They carry 5.0 from 16 ratings and 5.0 from 11 ratings.
One of those two is this site’s reading and not the listing’s word, and it is labelled that way everywhere it appears. t211524 says “Entry/admission - Linderhof Palace”, which is unambiguous. t1213649 never uses the word ticket or admission about Linderhof at all; its line is “Guided palace visit at Linderhof Palace”. Since the palace can be seen only on a guided tour, a guided palace visit is the thing the window sells — but that is an inference, and a page that presents an inference as a quotation is doing the thing this whole site exists to avoid.
Two put admission behind a condition, and their exact words matter more than any paraphrase of them. t1753 — the most-rated listing here by an enormous margin — reads “Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castle entry tickets (if option selected)”. t1195301 reads “Entrance ticket to Linderhof Palace (if available)”. The first is a box you tick at booking. The second is a real constraint rather than boilerplate: the palace runs timed guided tours of about 25 minutes with a maximum of 40 people in each, so availability is a thing that can genuinely run out.
One listing names neither. t91965 lists “Skip-the-line tickets” and does not say which building, on a day that visits two palaces. Neither “included” nor “not included” is a true reading of that, so this site prints neither, and it is a reasonable thing to ask about before paying nearly two hundred euros. It carries 4.8 from 1,673 ratings.
And two file a flat “not included” inside the inclusion list. t882180 puts it in the second of three bullets under “included”, where it says tickets for the castles are not included and must be bought separately; t969207 puts it in the third of three, ending “Ticket prices are not included in the price”. Somebody typed a caveat where the promises go, twice. That is the whole of the story, and it is exactly why this site reads these lists off the page structure rather than off a paragraph of running text — flattened into prose, both of those read as promises.
Three listings quote an entrance fee. They disagree.
Three of these listings state a Linderhof entrance fee in their own text, and no two of them say the same thing. Only one matches what the administration charges today; the lowest is well below it and the middle figure is, as it happens, the current reduced rate. One of the three also states a reduced reservation fee for children up to 18, where the palace admits under-18s free. Every figure is printed side by side with the administration’s own tariff on the tickets page, which is where exact amounts belong.
None of that is deception and I will not write it as though it were. It is what happens to a number typed into a listing years ago by somebody with no reason to revisit it. The reader’s takeaway is a practical one: the fare is the one on the window.
The one that goes to Linderhof and nowhere else
Of the 127 activities read in the crawl, exactly one goes to Linderhof and back with nothing else in it: t759029, a private car from Munich, listed at just over three hundred euros, tickets not included, no rating at all and not one written review. The other three listings that name Linderhof without naming Neuschwanstein each add somewhere — Oberammergau; Ettal and the Eibsee; an alpine coaster and four more stops.
So the answer to “can I just get a car to Linderhof?” is yes, there is one, and you would be booking it blind. That is not a reason to avoid it. It is a reason to read its description carefully — and to know that five of the private listings here share that same description, priced from just over three hundred euros to nearly five hundred. Two of them are identical word for word, inclusions and exclusions both, and they go to different places: one is this Linderhof-only run, the other is a five-stop day through Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, Ettal and Oberammergau. Whatever those lists tell you, they do not tell you where the car goes.
